Consequent upon their ouster in the Aiteo Cup, the Vice Chairman of Lobi Stars FC of Makurdi, Aondofa Tama has called on the supporters of the club, to exercise patience with the new management of the club as steps were being taken to reposition the club for enhanced performance.
Tama who made the appeal after Lobi’s 0-2 loss to Bayelsa United FC of Yenagoa in the Round of Three Aiteo Cup decided last Wednesday, at the Owerri Township stadium, said, ” this call has become necessary following the Makurdi based side elimination in the Aiteo Cup”.
Tama explained that the new management had resolved that it would work with the existing players and at the end of the 2020/2021 NPFL season ,which is about 5 matches away,effect massive changes in the team, which would include recruitment of quality players, adding that, ” changes would soon be made at the end of the league to reposition the club for better performance ahead of the 2021/2022 NPFL season”. The management of Lobi Stars is doing everything possible to improve the performance of the club in the remaining matches of the league”.
The Vice Chairman who expressed appreciation to the teeming fans of the club for always throwing their weight behind them, said they would not relent in their efforts in ensuring that Lobi moved to a better place in football development in the country.
