Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has called for peaceful coexistence among Christians and people of other faiths, insisting that it is the fundamental ingredient for collective growth and development in the state and country at large.
The governor in his Easter message, issued on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Ibrahim Addra, expressed appreciation to God for the gift of life and the opportunity of another celebration as well as for the relative peace in the state.
He rejoiced with Christians in the state and the country at large on the occasion of the 2021 Easter celebration.
“The period of Easter is one for deeper reflection and a time for all to rededicate to the service of God and love to humanity.
“Christians in the state not to loose sight of the reason for the celebration, and to strive to emulate the virtues of Christ,” he said.
The governor also urged citizens to continue to adherence to the COVID-I9 protocols, in order to prevent its spread while reiterating his government’s resolve to deploy every resource necessary to safeguard lives and property of the people.
He, felicitated with Christians and wished the people of state a peaceful and rewarding Easter celebration.
