Lobi Stars Football Club of Makurdi have recorded impressive performances in the 20/21 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) campaign.

The Makurdi based side have put up five–star performances in the teams double home matches. They posted 1- 0 win over Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM) Lagos, and an emphatic 3 – 0 win against Warri Wolves and equally secured a 2-2 away draw at Sunshine Stars Akure to garner seven points from four matches.

Voicesports report that one player remains the cynosure of all eyes of Lobi Stars fans. He is the gangling strike Ossy Martins, the team’s leading scorer with three goals already in his kitty.

According to Voicesports the successes of the pride of Benue as Lobi Stars is fondly called is the team spirit being exhibited by the players and the technical crew towards winning a silver ware for the government and the club’s teeming fans across the state.

Lobi defence line comprising Ebube Duru, Buruku John, Osimaga Dauke, Yisa Anifawoshe have been in their best, providing the needed cover for goalkeeper, Mustapha Aliko whose agility poses a nightmare to opposing attackers during their face off.

The team’s striking partnership of Tiza Samuel, Ossy Martins, Samuel Matthias and Daughlas Achiv is fast yielding dividends for the Coach Kabiru Dogo tutored side. With these positive results, Lobi Stars players are poised to replicate their last season’s performances when the team were among the top four.
