The Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, Abba Moro, on behalf of his entire constituents has felicitated with the Igede nation on the 2022 Igede Agba Festival which comes up Monday, September 5, 2022.
Senator Moro stated that, “the Igede are special people who, despite their exposure, education, enterprising spirit and versatility, do not throw away their culture, but uphold it from generation to generation.”
He also mentioned that, he is happy and very proud to be associated with them, moreso that they overwhelmingly gave him mandate to represent them.
On this year celebration, the senator felicitated with the Adirahu’Igede, HRM Chief Oga Ero, the Adutu’Obi, HRH Chief Chris Ijale, and the Adutu’Oju, HRH Chief (Dr) Daniel Ulegede, the custodians of Igede culture and tradition, and all Igede sons and daughters.
He prayed God to bless the land for more bountiful harvest, progress, productivity and growth in all ramifications in the years ahead and promised to continue to serve the interest and aspirations of the senatorial district.
The Igede Agba is celebrated on the first Ihigile of every September. It’s a time when Igede sons and daughters all over the world come together to thank God for bumper harvest, protection and provision, make peace with one another and reach out to the less privileged amongst them.
