The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Youth Leader, Isreal Dayo, have called on Plateau youth to ensure that they deliver the party in the 2023 election with massive votes.
The APC leader charged APC members in the state to keenly monitor and man every polling station during the next election.
Dayo made the appeal Friday in Jos, Plateau state during an interface with Plateau youth, as a strategy towards winning the forthcoming 2023 election.
According to him, the APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu, has made many personalities therefore, he is confident that Tinubu shall deliver Nigerians from the hardships, just as the Biblical Joseph, who saved people of Israel from famine.
He said that Tinubu is the answer to the quest of the many challenges bedeviling Nigerians; stressing that Tinubu is a peace advocate, the symbol of joy and upliftment of all.
Governor Simon Lalong, who was represented at the forum by Daniel Dung Dalyop, state Commissioner for Youth and Sport Development assured the national youth leader that APC youth in the state are ready to vote for the party.
Governor Lalong noted that the APC presidential candidate is not a tribalistic person, therefore, he will consolidate on the gains of the ongoing APC administration in the country.
APC Chairman in Plateau state, Rufus Bature, acknowledged that the effect of activities of the youth in promoting the party is been felt positively.
Bature revealed that the APC national youth leader is a visionary leader, who is focused. He encouraged the youth to be law abiding, and asked them to be steadfast.
“APC is ready to reward hard-work. I therefore, appeal to you to be patient and law-abiding,” he stated.
The Plateau APC chairman requested that the 65 percent youth membership in the party should vote for the all candidates. He urged the youth to embark on issues based campaigns, not violence.
Speaking earlier, Plateau APC youth leader Joseph Dashe, in an address assured the national youth leader that youth in the state shall deliver Plateau to APC. “We are ready to deliver APC from top to bottom,” he maintained.
He appreciated the APC administration in the state for including the youth folks in the present administration. According to him, 50 percent of government appointees are young persons.
Dashe encouraged youth support groups of the party to be peaceful in their dealings with others who are not members of the party.
APC Woman Youth Leader, Alice Dimlong, said Plateau women shall support APC; she, however, appealed to the national youth leader to include ladies in decision making.
The event was an interface of the national youth leader with those from Plateau on how to strategize on winning the 2023 elections.
