2023: Gov Sule calls for unity among APC members

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has called for unity among members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state to enable the party win election, come 2023.

Sule made the call on Wednesday in Lafia, while receiving the report  of a reconciliation committee, set up to address grievances of members at the recently held primary elections of the party, held in the state.

The governor, who appealed to the aggrieved members to put everything behind them and work for the victory of the party in all positions in 2023, said those who participated in the primaries should accept the outcome in good faith as “leadership only comes from God.”

“All those who left the party are not our enemies, but we cannot work for the success of anyone who is no longer in APC.

“We cannot stop anyone who feels aggrieved and wants to leave the party from leaving, but we will engage them and discuss with them with a view of addressing issues,” Sule said.

He commended the aggrieved members for appearing and presenting their issues before the committee, even as he expressed gratitude to members of the committee for accepting the assignment.

The governor, therefore, promised to do his best toward implementing the recommendations of the committee, saying it will help the party achieve victory come, 2023.

Earlier, Chairman of the committee, Hassan Liman, SAN, expressed gratitude to Governor Sule for giving them the opportunity to serve the state and the party.

Liman, said the committee had interacted with more than 95 percent of aspirants, who participated in the APC primaries and appealed to the governor to ensure full implementation of the recommendations of the report.
