2023: I will restore permanent peace, revamp economy – Atiku

The Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has pledged to restore permanent peace and rejuvenate the economy in Plateau State and Nigeria as a whole.

“2023; vote for PDP, we will restore permanent peace, we will ensure that our youths are employed, we will promote skills acquisition.

“I discovered yesterday on my way here from Nasarawa State that most roads linking Plateau to other states are bad, we will fix them, when we resume power,” he stated.

Alhaji Atiku made the pledge Tuesday at Rwang-Pam Stadium
in Jos, Plateau State when he took his presidential campaigns to Plateau State.

The PDP presidential candidate also appealed to Plateau citizens to massively vote for the PDP to return to power, come 2023. According to him, the two term of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in office has brought many set backs.

Atiku’s running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State said he has confidence that PDP shall be victorious.

Similarly, the gubernatorial candidate of the party on the Plateau, Barr Caleb Mutfwang, earlier in a welcome address assured that if elected, PDP shall provide positive change.

“We hope to provide positive change that will engender progress of our people,” he stated.

Mutfwang called on all party faithful to embark on massive campaigns for the party. The PDP gubernatorial candidate maintained that APC had taken Plateau State to the dark old days.

On his part, national Chairman of the PDP, Sen. Iyorchia Ayu in an address told the gathering that PDP and its candidates has the capacity to rewrite the wrongs of the present administration.

The PDP national chairman was happy the stakeholders of the party in the state were united to prosecute the 2023 elections as a means of ensuring victory for the party.

Plateau state PDP Chairman, Chris Hassan, in a remark assured the presidential candidate that Plateau State will produce 2 million votes for Atiku.

The Director General, Atiku campaign organization, who is the Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, told the gathering that PDP has plans to restore the lost glory of Nigeria.

Governor of Akwa-Ibom state, Emmanuel Udom, Sen. Istifanus Gyang, Sen. Dino Mailaye and Amb. Yahaya Kwande, who spoke separately at the campaign rally, appreciated Plateau people for the massive turn out at the event, and solicit for their votes.
