From Teryima Ajijah, Jos

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Prof. Peter Umeadi has said if elected President of Nigeria, Nigerians shall be free of all challenges currently bedeviling citizens.

The APGA presidential candidate stated this Wednesday in Jos, at the official flag-off of campaign for Samuel Abashe, the gubernatorial candidate of the party in Plateau State.

“If I am made President of Nigeria, my administration will touch the lives of every Nigerian positively and that is what APGA represents; that is why I am contesting presidency,” he stated.

He said his administration shall prioritize welfare of the less privileged and the downtrodden.

“I will concentrate on women, youth, and people living with disability.

“If I become president, you will see me in hospitals, market places, motor parks to see things my self,” he stated.

He said the country needs unity and peaceful co-existence. “All we need is peace, joy, good health, good food to all,” he added.

The presidential candidate is hopeful of clinching the 2023 presidential office. “I am a winner, I will not stop at nothing to win the election, I can assure you that APGA will win all the offices its members are contesting for,” he maintained.

Declaring his intention to contest the governorship seat of Plateau state, Samuel Abashe said the entire Plateau people are yearning for a positive change.

Abashe said his administration will revive all moribund industries of the state to create jobs and boost the economy.

According to him, he is the most qualified and suitable candidate to develop Plateau State to the desire of citizens.

Abashe expressed displeasure on the prolonged civil unrest bedeviling Plateau State, saying it has bankrupt the economic fortunes of the state.

“We can’t go to our farms, schools, our business places because of insecurity, people no longer feel safe even in their homes,” he noted.

He assured that if he becomes governor, Plateau citizens will never witness violence again.

“We will develop the agricultural sector, we will provide farm implements and input to all farmers, we will have more than we need. Plateau is not a poor state,” he stated.

Earlier, an APGA Youth Leader, Henry Musa appealed to the APGA presidential candidate and governorship candidate to revive the state from violence should they win their election.

According to the youth leader, the prolonged insecurity has almost crippled the entire economy of the state.

Similarly, the women representatives of the party, Blessing Selchum, solicited for upliftment of the female gender towards self reliance.

APGA supporters from the 17 local government areas of Plateau State graced the occasion, held at mini stadium in Bukuru, headquarters of Jos south LGA.

Prayers were offered to God for the protection of all candidates of APGA to be safe from violence while embarking on campaigns.
