Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has urged goverment at all levels to adopt realistic and honest approach in tackling the developmental and security challenges of the country.
Governor Sule stated this during a lecture at the National Institute of Security Studies,(NISS) held in Abuja.
In a statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary ( CPS) , Ibrahim Addra said Governor Sule while speaking on the theme: “Promoting National Security and Sustainable Development: the Nasarawa State Experience, recounted how Nasarawa state leveraged on active collaboration with the federal government and security agencies in addressing security challenges in the said.
According to the statement, the governor appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari as well as security agencies for assisting the state in its fight against violent crimes and criminality.
He, further revealed his administration’s efforts in protecting the lives and property of citizens of the state as well as creating a conducive environment for investors to come into the state for different forms of businesses.
The statement added that the Nasarawa state governor also spoke on the farmers/herders crises, banditry, reforms in the solid mineral sectors and other contemporary challenges which his administration was addressing .
It concluded that over fourty-nine participants including senior officers from the military, intelligence, security, paramilitary, law enforcement and regulatory agencies amongst others drawn from Nigeria, Ghana and Gambia were attended the event.
