A call has been made on Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) to intensify synergy with the Office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Project Monitoring and Evaluation, for successful implementation of projects in basic primary schools.
SA, David Orshi (Esq) made the call when he and his team visited the Board’s headquarters recently in Makurdi. He stated that the familiarisation visit was necessary to ensure that quality projects are delivered to the state to justify the huge public expenditure on projects. He further charged SUBEB to be vigilant to maintain universally accepted standards in project execution.
Responding, the Executive Chairman, Benue SUBEB, Comrade Joseph Utse appreciated the visit of the SA and thanked Governor Samuel Ortom for appointing competent hands to enforce adequate standards in project implementation in the state. He pledged to support the mandate of the team for quality projects to be delivered to basic primary schools.
Permanent Members II and III at SUBEB, Egli Ahubi Johnson and Mr James Ahua, in their separate remarks appreciated the monitoring and evaluation team, and promised to give the necessary support to ensure proper project monitoring that will improve basic infrastructure in schools.
The Board’s Secretary, Mr Agbo Ochekpe, in a vote of thanks appreciated the visit and expressed optimism that the visit will spur SUBEB to deliver durable projects in public primary schools within the State.
