Col. Kefas Agbu (rtd) was Monday sworn in as the forth democratically elected governor of Taraba State. He was sworn-in in with his deputy, Alhaji Aminu Abdulahialakali at Jolly Nyame Stadium, Jalingo.
In his acceptance speech, Governor Agbu acknowledged the people of Taraba for their support and the trust bestowed on him and his deputy and promised that they will reciprocate the gesture.
Governor Agbu said his doors are open for constructive criticisms and urged the people of Taraba to put aside their differences and work towards moving the state forward, stressing that Taraba has enough to feed the nation.
Governor Agbu further stated that his administration will focus on education and health service delivery, adding that health is wealth, The governor maintained that his administration will pursue security of lives for the citizens and their properties.
He further stated that youth and women development, as well as job creation will be his priorities, saying that with their support, progress and development were quite sure.
The governor assured that he will woo investors into the state for partnership to development the reach mineral deposits across Taraba State.
In his statement, the former governor of Taraba State, Diarus Ishaku, said he was fulfilled transfering power to Agbu as Executive Governor of Taraba State.
