Authorities of the University of Jos, Jos have given newly admitted students of the University from October 27 to 30, 2022 to complete their academic registration and get ready for academic activities.
A press release issued on Monday in Jos, by the Deputy Registrar, Information and Publications of the university, Abdullahi Abdullahi, said the move is to enable commencement of lectures soonest, following resumption of academic activities.
“All students who are yet to register are advised to do so between Monday 17th and Sunday 30th October, 2022 when the University’s Online Registration Portal on www.unijos.edu.ng will be open.”
The release maintained that “this is preparatory to the full resumption of academic activities for the first semester 2020/2021 academic session which had been suspended due to the strike.”
It said arrangements are being made to commence full academics at the university “this comes as the university Senate is expected to meet soon and review the university’s academic calendar, in order to decide on the period when lectures and other academic activities will officially resume.”
“Due to over grown grasses at campuses, following prolonged ASUU strike, most parts of the institution are not habitable, therefore, steps are being taken to clean up the mess for smooth academic activities.
“Meantime, Management of the University of Jos has approved the immediate commencement of cleaning, fumigation and maintenance services at the various campuses, hostels and other facilities in readiness for the full commencement of activities in the university for the current session.”
