The Chief Press secretary to the governor of Benue State, Terver Akase has debunked the news making the rounds that a new vice chancellor has been appointed for Benue State University.
There have been speculations in the social Media that a new Vice chancellor has been appointed for the state University, with some speculating a name.
But in a post on his Facebook post, Akase said no name had been submitted to the visitor to the University who is the governor.
According to the governor’s spokesman, as soon as the name of the vice chancellor is submitted to the governor, it will be announced.
“A new Vice Chancellor has not been appointed for Benue State University.
The Visitor is yet to receive the report of the BSU Council on the choice of VC. Once the process is completed, a new VC will be appointed” the post read.
The university council have been having series of interviews with contestants for the post of the Vice Chancellor over the last few weeks.
