Dr Onuh, who gave the charge on Friday while exchanging views with The Voice in Otukpo Benue State, condemned some politicians who indulge in unguided utterances, insults and thuggery, in their attempt to grab political power.

“The political campaign has just started and this is the period when all sorts of negative things such as fighting, malice, abuse and enmity arise among the people even among brothers because of political differences or struggle for power.

“I call o my subjects to avoid all these negative engagements, in order to have peace and development in the land,” he said.

The royal father, who is also the District Head of Adoka, noted that leadership comes from God and urged his subjects to be patient and peaceful in their pursuit of political ambition.

“If it is not your turn today, it may be yours tomorrow.

“Hating and killing your brothers in the name of politics is not only morally wrong but, also sacrilegious to the gods of the land,” Dr Onuh explained.

On the part of the electorate, the Otukpo monarch implored them to vote wisely for credible candidates that would bring the needed change.

He lamented the level of infrastructural decay in his kingdom, especially, roads and appealed to the government to come to the aid of his people to ease their suffering.

The Alegwu of Adoka assured that he and his council would not be tired of crying to the relevant authorities to provide social amenities for the community.
