Wife of Benue State Governor, Dr Eunice Ortom has donated money to a new foundation in Makurdi established to carter for widows known as Prestige Ogechi Foundation, and stressed the need for more people to organise and reach out to the vulnerable in the society.

Dr Ortom praised the initiator of the foundation, an Igbo Makurdi based business woman, Mrs Stella Amah for the idea of the foundation saying generosity to widows is dear to God.

The first lady made the donation Thursday at Lush Event, Makurdi while performing the launch of the foundation, during the 50th birthday anniversary celebration of Mrs Amah.

She described the celebrant as a charitable and enterprising woman, who has inspired many women in Benue State.

Other well-wishers of the celebrant including General Manager of Benue Links, Mrs Comfort Ugela described her as a good natured women, who is focused and target oriented.

In her reaction, Mrs Amah also known as Madam Prestige explained that her motivation to establish the foundation was her belief that kindness to widows and the vulnerable of the society attracts blessings from God.

Mrs Amah, who stated that she decided to spend her golden jubilee celebrating with widows further distributed food and clothes to 300 widows.
