In furtherance of his desire to better the lot of his constituents, the member representing Otukpo-Akpa at the Benue State House of Assembly, Chief Baba Odeh recently flagged-off his yearly scholarship scheme with a total of 250 students benefiting for the 2022/2023 Academic Session.

Disbursing the award to the first batch of beneficiaries at Isawa Memorial Academy, Otukpo, the lawmaker said he would continue his yearly ward, whether he is in or out of politics.

The Voice reports that Chief Odeh used the occasion which coincided with the school graduation day, to donate footballs and jerseys to the college to boost its sporting activities.

In another development, the Otukpo-Akpa representative has restored and expanded his public water supply project in his constituency.

Speaking, in Otukpo on Saturday, Chief Odeh, said: “I regret the suspension of the project in the past years; it was a situation beyond my control.

“However, now the scheme will be expanded to include areas such as Olena, Asa One, Two, Three and Akpegede, as well as Upu while that of Otukpo township would be restored.

“All the necessary arrangements have been put in place, and any moment from now the project will be commissioned and my people will begin to enjoy pipe-borne water once again,” he said.

All those who appreciated Chief Odeh, including Uloko Ochima, Mary-Peace Agbo and Simon Ogbe separately thanked the parliamentarian, saying in him they have a true representative.
