The Acting General Manager of Benue Links Transport Company, Comrade Alexander Fanafa has reiterated the resolve of the company’s management under his watch to strengthen and sustain partnership between the company and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

Comrade Fanafa made this known when he received members of the corps led by the Corps Commandant, Ayodele Stephen Oluwole, recently in his office at the company’s headquarters in Makurdi.

The General Manager in his statement said the company’s areas of partnership include: training and retraining of drivers on road safety measures as well as inspection of vehicles to ensure they meet with the road safety standards and also create awareness on the need to always abide by the traffic rules.

The General Manager also said the company has been rated second among other state owned transport companies in terms of low accident rates, speed limit compliance and comfortability of passengers loaded per vehicle, adding that the company has always kept roads and passengers’ safety on the frontline.
Speaking further, the General Manager welcomed the Corps Commandant to Benue State and wished him well as he takes over the Sector Command in the state.

Earlier in his speech, the Commandant stated that he was at the company on a familiarization visit as he just assumed duty to take charge of the sector in the state and to also solicit support for the Annual Ember Months’ Campaign coming up soon.

In his vote of thanks, the Assistant General Manager of Benue Links Transport Company, Mr. Peter Adikwu, appreciated the Sector Commander and his team for the visit and sued for continuous collaboration between Road Safety and Benue Links Company.
