The Speaker, Benue State House of Assembly, Mr Titus Uba has urged Muslim faithful to reflect on the significance of Eid-El-Kabir celebration which depends solidly on encouraging sacrificial living, peace and love for one another.
Mr Uba made this known Tuesday on behalf of his family and members of the 9th Benue Assembly, when felicitating with the Muslim community on the occasion of this year’s Eid-El-Kabir celebration.
In a statement released to newsmen by the Speaker’s Chief Press Secretary, Wuese Orshi, the speaker urged the Islamic faithful to reflect on the significance of the celebration, which he says borders on encouraging sacrificial living, peace and love for one another, while he noted that, with out these, no society could advance.
Mr Uba wished Muslims a pleasant celebration and advised them to embrace religious tolerance and live harmoniously with people of other faiths, stressing that it would promote peace across the country and enhance national unity and development.
