The Blue House weekend, emerged overall winners of the 2023 inter – house sports competition, decided at the Agape College playground Makurdi,in Benue State.
Presenting the trophy to the House Captain, Anthonia Edeh and flanked by the House Mistress, Esther Etta, the Proprietress of the school, Constance Ogeyi Ajom aka Mama Agape described the impressive performance that was put up by the students during the weeklong sports fiesta as overwhelming, stressing that they should see their participation in the sports meet as a morale booster.
Ajom who expressed optimism that with the talents and creativity exhibited by the students, they would go beyond the skies in the nearest future, commended all the participants for their resilience. She noted that, “at the end of the games, there is no victor, no vanquished”. She however, urged them to be focused on developing themselves in their God chosen sports.
Mama Agape disclosed that the management of the school would no longer take Friday, training sessions in all the sports for granted and as such would intensify efforts aimed at ensuring the provision of sports facilities in the school to enhance effective training of the students in their various sports and as well create an enabling environment for them to thrive towards writing their names in gold.

She commended all the House Masters for their doggedness, dedication, commitment and hard work and the entire staff of Agape Schools for their individual contributions towards ensuring that the inter-house sports competition achieved a phenomenal success. She prayed God to bless them richly.
The events that were competed in by students of the college as well as the pupils in the primary section of the school included football, volleyball, table tennis, High and long jump, egg race, sack race, bottle race, 100 meters, relay etc both in the boys and girls categories.

Highpoint of the event included a football match between the male teachers and the students (Boys) where the teachers humbled the students by 3-2 goals scored by Philemon Tarhom(1goal) and Nwabueze Anyanwu Bosco scoring two goals while the match between the female teachers and the girls ended 2-0 in favour of the girls.
Red House emerged second overall best in the competition while Green House came third and Yellow House placed fourth.
