The Benue State Government is to upgrade facilities at the School of Health Technology (SHT), Agasha to provide a more conducive learning environment for students.
Benue State Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr. Emmanuel Ikwulono, stated this recently during a familiarization visit to the school.
He said the dilapidated Library and Auditorium which were poorly constructed would be given special attention.
Dr. Okwulono while addressing staff of the school and members of the host community, also assured that the perimeter fence which had collapsed due to heavy rains coupled with poor drainage systems as well as the uncompleted boys and girls hostels will also be rehabilitated.
While assuring that accreditation of the school will be prioritized, the commissioner commended the school’s Principal and members of staff for running the school in spite of the difficult situation and called for sustenance.
Earlier in her address, Principal of the school, Mrs. Esther Manger, who conducted the commissioner round the school, expressed appreciation over the visit even as she appealed for more attention to be given in all needed areas to create room for the achievement of the set objectives of the institution.
