The remains of Mama Salome Ogbenyi Awo Adikpe, mother to a staff of Benue Printing and Publishing Corporation (BPPC), Publishers of The Voice Newspaper, Ms Vera Awo were Saturday laid to rest at her country home Ochodu Ukpa, Oju Local Government Area of Benue State.
In his burial homily titled, “A borrowed life”, held at Assemblies of God Church, Ochodu Ukpa, the Makurdi District Superintendent of Assemblies of God Church, Rev. Emmanuel Owoicho admonished Christians to always be ready because they are living a borrowed life that was loaned to them by God and at the end of their lives here on earth, they must give an account of how they spent their lives.

Rev. Owoicho, who read from the Holy Bible in Luke, chapter twelve verse nineteen, narrated the story of the rich fool in the Bible.
He stressed that, “Whatever we have here on earth is temporal, be it money, power or influence. One day, we will leave the earth with nothing and shall give account of our lives here on earth”.
He stated that, Mama Adikpe had lived her life and will be remembered for her good and urged all not to be far away from God but seek the kingdom of God and live godly lives because they will give an account of their lives here on earth when they die.
The member representing Oju I State Constituency, in the Benue State House of Assembly, Pastor Blessed Onah, in his condolence message commiserated with the Awo Adikpe family over the demise of their mother.
He urged the family to take solace in God knowing that she produced wonderful children who are serving the society in strategic positions and prayed that God would comfort them knowing well that she was resting with the Lord.
Speaking on behalf of the family, the eldest son, Mr. Israel Awo, thanked God for the life of their mother and prayed to God to help her children uphold the virtues she stood for.
He thanked the church for standing by them in their trying time and prayed to God to bless all for honouring them with their presence.
Mama Salome Ogbenyi AwoAdikpe is survived by seven children and many grandchildren.
She died after a brief illness at a private hospital in Makurdi at the age of 82.
