The Ag Executive Secretary of the Benue State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Sir James Iorpuu on Monday 29th January 2024, received a delegation from the United States Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance to Makurdi, the Benue State capital.
Sir Iorpuu, who led staff of the agency to the Agan Toll Gate in Makurdi to welcome the US delegation led by the Senior Humanitarian Advisor, Mr Patrick Robinson, who was accompanied by Mr Murphy Apadutun, Project Management Specialist with US Agency for International Development among other members, described the US three days visit to Benue as strategic and expressed government’s readiness to collaborate with the partners on the working visit for a hitch-free exercise.
The US delegation on Tuesday 30th January 2024 interfaced with the Management of SEMA, after which they proceeded to Government House for a courtesy call on the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia and subsequently visited the IDPs Camps in the State.
