Benue State University (BSU) Makurdi has announced the matriculation of fresh undergraduates students of the institution for the 2019/2020 academic session.

The announcement was contained in a notice signed by Deputy Registrar,
Academic Office, Aondover Zwawua on behalf of the registrar.

According to the notice, the 28th Matriculation Ceremony is scheduled to hold on Friday, 16 April, 2021 at the New Convocation Square of the university.

The notice also stated that all principal officers and members of Senate shall do a procession while it requested that heads of units and other members of staff attend the occasion.

All fresh students who are to be matriculated are expected to download from the university portal (www.bsum.edu.ng) and bring to the Orientation/Matriculation Ceremony: i. Matriculation Oath ii. University Anthem (Alma Mata Song)

Meanwhile, the notice stated that the orientation for registered students commenced on Wednesday, 14 and will end on Thursday, 15 April, 2021 at the New Convocation Square. The Orientation and Matriculation Committee will release details of the exercise.

Faculty officers commenced issuance of matriculation gowns to registered students of their respective Faculties from Monday, 12 April, 2021. Each student will be required to collect a matriculation gown.

It reads partly: “Deans and Heads of Departments are requested to liaise with the Directorate of ICT or Faculty ICT staff to access the list of registered students in their Faculties and Departments. They should ensure that all qualified candidates of their respective programmes are properly registered.”
