Buhari’s wife donates maternity kits, others to Benue women

Wife of Nigeria’s President, Mrs. Aisha Buhari has donated maternity kits and saloon equipment to 500 women in Benue State in appreciation of the support of the state to her husband’s administration.
Presenting the packages to the beneficiaries in Makurdi Wednesday, Mrs. Buhari, who was represented by wife of the Benue State Governor, Dr Mrs. Eunice Ortom said the support was targeted at improving the livelihood of the women.
Mrs. Buhari expressed confidence that the saloon equipment will facilitate the economic growth of the beneficiaries and make them more self reliant.
She further promised to extend more support to the State through her Pet Project, Future Assured, in the future.
The Maternity Kits along with cash donations were presented to new mothers at the the Federal Medical Centre and Bishop Murray Hospitals Makurdi.
In an interview with Journalists after the distribution, wife of the state Governor Dr Eunice Ortom lauded the Mrs. Aisha Buhari’s advocacy efforts aimed at contributing to the development of the country.
Dr Ortom appreciated her for extending hand of fellowship to Benue people and prayed God to bless her while noting also that the items would be put to judicious use and would go a long way in providing succor to the beneficiaries.
Some of the beneficiaries including Ngunan Ben, Charity Chigh and Florence Orgba said the gesture showed love and had given them a sense of belonging.
