An inferno almost razed down a one storey building in the Ankpa Quarters area of Makurdi Tuesday morning.
The fire outbreak which started at about 10:00am at the building housing Accurate Paints Colour Center was however, quelled after the quick intervention of the Federal Fire Service.
According to a fire service officer at the scene who pleaded anonymity, the outbreak occured as a result of an electrical fault in the office air conditioner.
Much damage was not done to the products due to the early intervention of people to combat the fire.
