Wife of the Governor of Benue State, Dr Eunice Ortom, has called on women and youths from Jechira axis to ensure they collect their PVCs in order to vote for the PDP in the forthcoming general elections.
Dr Ortom also charged government appointees and PDP leaders from the axis to facilitate PVC collection and orientate their people on the need not to sell their PVCs and votes
The governor’s wife made this call today in Vandeikya Local Government Area when she lead the PDP women campaign team on rally in Jechira axis comprising Vandeikya and Konshisha LGAs.
She said the PDP has been women and youth friendly evident in the number of women and youths who have carried along in political leadership by the administration of her husband and therefore called for massive votes for the party
On her part, wife of the governorship candidate of PDP, Mrs Pauline Uba promised to build on the legacies of Dr Ortom if her husband is voted.
Contributing the commissioner of women Affairs Mrs Tabitha Igirgi and her counterpart in the ministry of trade and investment Barrister Rodney Agbatar called on women to vote for PDP to continue to enjoy the legacies of Mrs Ortom.
In their separate goodwill messages, PDP State Woman Leader, Mrs Abeje Egwa, and the Director, PDP Women Wing Campaign Team, Mrs Irene Awunah appealed to women to reciprocate the gesture of PDP towards women’s welfare by voting the party to return to power in the next administration
PDP candidates in the 2023 elections from the axis including Mr Atorough Tyough and Bem Agire promised to facilitate rapid development in the axis if voted.
Meanwhile, the women and youth leaders of Vandeikya and Konshisha in their separate remarks promised to adequately mobilise women and youths to massively vote for the PDP candidates.
