The chairman of Teckan/Eckwa Block, Taraba State chapter, Rev. Dr. Micah Dopah has called on Governor Agbu Kefas to urgently declare state of emergency on security in other to save lives and property of Taraba citizens.
The Chairman made this during Teckan/Eckwa Block quarterly combined service at Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) secretariat Complex, Jalingo State capital, recently.
He observed that evil men are bent on killing and taking over ancestral land from the owners as, according to him, killing, kidnapping and armed bandits are everywhere.
The chairman said Teckan/Eckwa Block gather quarterly for combined service to appreciate God and worship him for His numerous benefits and blessings every year.
Rev. Dopah said the rate of killing, kidnapping, armed robbery among other criminal activities in the state are alarming as citizens can neither go to farm nor sleep with their two eyes closed.
He charged members of the block not to compromise unity of believers in Christ Jesus and pray for government and citizens to live peaceful life.
The guest speaker on the occasion, Dr. Caleb Maigeri, who also represented the State CAN chairman, Dr. Magali Jerepyi charged the congregation to remain in unity.
