Ediba will be remembered for his sports reportage – Ortom

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has described the late Law Possible Ediba as a patriot with great passion for sports journalism. He said the deceased will be remembered for his contributions to sports reportage.

He stated this Monday when he paid a condolence visit to the family of his Senior Special Assistant on Sports, late Ediba. The governor urged the family to take solace in the positive legacies of the deceased.

The governor, who was in company of his deputy, Engr Benson Abonu said, “the deceased defeated age and time. He worked in the civil service and retired and later, took up journalism practice where he worked hard to carve a niche for himself.”

The governor, who assured the family that the state government will ensure that the late Ediba is given a befitting burial, offered employment to the first son of the deceased, Samuel Ediba with the state Ministry of Youths and Sports.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Samuel Ediba expressed appreciation to Governor Ortom for visiting the family to commiserate with them.

Late Ediba hails from Akpa District of Otukpo Local Government. He died October 25 at the age of 80.
