Wife of Nasarawa State Governor, Hajiya Silifat Sule has charged the people of the state and Nigerians in general to prioritise things that bind them together and eschew those that are capable of dividing the nation, especially as the country prepares for the 2023 general elections.
Hajiya Sule stated this while felicitating with Muslims across the world as they celebrate this year’s Eid El-Fitr.
In a statement issued on Monday by the Special Assistant on Media, Office of the wife of the governor, Mr Lamino Gambo, she described peace as important factor to the development of any society, urging the people of the state to keep praying and working for the peace and unity of the country and Nasarawa state in particular.
She therefore, congratulated the Muslim faithful for successfully completing Ramadan saying, “May Almighty Allah make Eid a great occasion for interaction, harmony, tolerance and happiness for all.
“Sacrifices made by all during Ramadan should draw us closer to the Allah. I therefore, enjoin all Muslim brothers and sisters to take lessons of the holy Month of Ramadan, which include personal sacrifices and self denial beyond the fasting period as practiced by Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him).
“On behalf of myself and my pet project, Silifat Abdullahi Sule (SAS) Hope Foundation, I heartily rejoice with all the citizens and residents of our dear State as we celebrate Eid El-Fitr,” she said.
