The immediate past Senator representing Plateau Southern Senatorial District in the 9th Assembly, Nora Ladi Daduut, has built, equipped and commissioned three blocks of classroom in her constituents.
At the commissioning held on Friday, the Senator stressed that her passion for education made her embarked on the projects.
Sen Daduut, who was represented at the commissioning of the projects by her Senior Legislative Aide, Gabriel Bretet, said her gesture was aimed at improving the quality of education of the younger generation to enable them to compete with their peers in other places.
She added that three classroom blocks were constructed to aid teaching and learning of pupils who have been learning under terrible conditions in public primary schools.
In a remark during the event, a youth leader in one of the communities where the project is sited, Mr Nansok Tali, said the senator’s gesture was loudable and appreciated her for reaching out to them.
He said: “Prior to the infrastructural overhauling and construction works carried out by Senator Dadu’ut, the primary schools were in a sorry state of dilapidation.
The schools who benefitted from the senator’s kind gesture were the public primary schools located in Npat Community of Langtang South and another in Quanpan Local Government Areas of the state.
