The Commissioner, Federal Character Commission, Benue State, Hon. Silas Mfa Maclkpah, has called on ministries, departments and agencies at the Federal, State and local areas in the state to forward their nominal rolls to the office of the state office of Federal Character Commission.
This was contained in a press release signed and made available to The Voice by the state Coordinator, Federal Character Commission (FCC), Mr John Uchara.
He commended organizations that have already submitted theirs and urged those yet to submit to do so without further delay.
It states that, all government organizations are statutorily required to submit their nominal rolls to the office of Federal Character Commission annually.
The Commissioner further urged all government appointing Agencies in the state to notify the office before any form of recruitment is carried out, as failure to do so will render any recruitment null and void.
The statement adds that appropriate sanctions await any organization that will refuse to adhere to the guidelines of the Commission.
He also encouraged government organizations in the state to support the Commission to achieve its mandate, which is to promote, monitor and ensure equitable distribution of posts in the public service and socio-economic amenities and infrastructural facilities nation wide.
“Achieving sustainable national consciousness to which all citizens can subscribe with convictions remains the mission of the Commission which will no doubt, guarantee peaceful coexistence for national development and a viable economy in Nigeria”, he stated.
