The Four students who were kidnapped at the Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi (FAUM) have been released.
The Voice gathered that the students were released in the morning of Wednesday 28 April, 2021 unhurt.
It was reported that the four students were kidnapped in the early hours of Sunday 25 April, 2021 in the school premises.
“Four students were kidnapped Sunday this week,” a source pleaded anonymity. “The kidnappers had demanded for a ransom of 20 million naira for the abducted students but there is no readily available explanation how the students were released without the ransom paid,” he said.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Catherine Anene, confirming the incident said, “the kidnapped students of University of Agriculture have been released unhurt. Investigation into the case continues.” She added that “no ransom was paid.”
