Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago of Niger State, has approved two trucks of 50kg rice for the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Niger State Chapter as their palliatives.
The Governor stated this at a get-together organized by the state Deputy Governor, Comrade Yakubu Garba in his new office on Tuesday.
The Governor stated that the initial money given to the organized labour was meant for their logistics, hence the two truck of 50kg rice will cushion the members’ need, and called on the NLC to monitor the distribution of the palliatives in the state in order to ensure that they are not diverted.

Also speaking , the Deputy Governor, Comrade Yakubu Garba appreciated the Governor and all other dignitaries for honouring his invitation, stressing that it was time to work together to achieve common goals.
Comrade Garba assured Nigerlites of the Bago-led administration’s readiness to carry everyone along irespective of tribe, religion or political differences, as well as give people’s welfare topmost priority.
