Governor Samuel Ortom has said Reverend Father Donatus Ugema’s calling and life in the Lord’s vineyard has been eventful and an utmost dedication to the service of God.

He disclosed this Sunday at the Thanksgiving mass organised to celebrate God for His blessings and protection for Reverend Father Ugema, on his 37th Priestly Anniversary, held at Saints Mary’s Quasi Parish, Songu – Achusa, Makurdi.

Governor Ortom commended the celebrant for working hard for the expansion of the work of God and called on him to sustain the tempo.

He applauded the people of the state and particularly the church of God for their prayers which is sustaining him as well as helping him to over come all his enemies.

On his part, the Chairman of the Occasion, Dr Patrick Pillah, narrated his long standing relationship with the celebrant, while he described him as a committed and hardworking person, who sacrificed his entire life for the development of the church.

In their separate speeches, Arc. Asema Achado and Dr Bem Ugo described the celebrant as selfless and committed to his duties and responsibilities as a priest.

Delivering his homily, the Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Makurdi, Right Reverend Wilfred Anagbe, described the celebrant as a man of simplicity who is hardworking and dogged in the service for Christ. He prayed God to keep and prosper the celebrant to do more for the propagation of the kingdom of God.
