Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has acknowledged the contribution of Nigeria Air Force Tactical Air Command (NAF TAC), Makurdi for its contribution to the safety of lives and property of Benue people.
The governor stated this Wednesday at the Benue Peoples House, Makurdi when the new Air Officer Commanding (AOC), Tactical Air Command, Nigeria Air Force, Makurdi, Air Vice Marshall Precious Amadi paid him a courtesy call.
Governor Ortom congratulated the new AOC on his elevation and expressed optimism that being an operational officer with wealth of experience, he would effectively deploy his strategies and manpower to tackle the security challenges in the state.
He assured the TAC of cordial working relationship and expressed committment to facilitating issuance of Certificate of Occupancy of its land.
Air Vice Marshall Amadi, who is on his 7th posting to the state, said he will continue to prioritize the safety of lives and property of Benue people. He disclosed that the terrain was not new to him.
“I will prioritize supporting Benue State in the fight against insecurity to further enhance the relative peace in the State,” he stated.
The AOC assured of cordial relationship with its host community, but appealed to the people to steer clear of NAF land.
