Benue State Deputy Governor, Engr Benson Abounu has assured that the positive test result of Governor Samuel Ortom for COVID-19, will not affect the smooth running of governance in the state.
While answering questions from journalists, at the Benue People’s House Wednesday, the deputy governor said, “the positive state of the governor has not affected governance in the state at all, I have been around. I am not positive and I have been working round the clock and discharged all the duties of the governor that have been assigned to me.”
He explained that following Governor Ortom and his aides’ COVID-19 positive status, a lot of contact tracing has been carried out, in order to curtail the spread of the virus in the state.
