Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has approved the contract for the rural electrification of five communities in Gadabuke Development Area, Toto Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.
The member representing Toto/Gadabuke at the state House of Assembly, Usman Shafa disclosed this on Saturday in Umaisha, Toto LGA during an interview with journalists.
According to him, the gesture was part of Governor Sule’s commitment towards ensuring that rural dwellers enjoy more dividends of democracy, as well as to boost socio-economic activities among the rural populace.
“It is with joy and full sense of commitment and appreciation that His Excellency Engr Abdullahi Sule has graciously approved contract for the rural electrification in five communities of my constituency.
“This no doubt was part of the government’s commitment, zeal and determination to better the lot of our people. We are highly indebted to the governor.
“Already, the engineers handling the work have been mobilised to site to kick start the job. Five villages to benefit are; Karmo, Tudu-Uku, Loko-Goma, Nakuse and Gwargwada.
“I want to sincerely appreciate and thank His Excellency Engr Abdullahi A Sule for his magnanimity and concern for our people,” he said.
The lawmaker said that the project if completed will enhance development of the people and boost business activities in the area.
He, commended Governor Sule and the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi for initiating projects for the well being of the people of Toto LGA and the state at large.
