Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State and wife, the First Lady of the state, Hajiya Silifat Abdullahi Sule have revalidated their membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Governor Sule, while performing the exercise this week, at his polling unit, Gudi Station, Akwanga Local Government Area of the state, called on APC supporters to work in unity in order to sustain to the progress of the party in the state.

According to him, good governance can only be achieved when there is peace and unity devoid of tendencies that would over hit the polity.

“I want to thank you all for supporting me, It is only in Nasarawa State that all the ten other people who contested with me at the primary election all came back and supported me.

“Everybody that has come to be registered in APC, should be registered. Everything is falling into place and all the drama about differences in our party is over and we will be able to work together for everyone to benefit,” Sule said.

He, therefore, called on supporters of the APC to ensure full participation in the registration and revalidation to achieve success of the exercise.

Also speaking, the First Lady noted that for women to participate in political processes of selecting leaders and contest for public offices, they must obtain their APC membership cards, hence, the need for women to come out en masse for the exercise.

“For anyone to accord support to President Muhammadu Buhari and Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule, you must first have your APC membership card,” she said.

In his remark, the APC Caretaker Committee Chairman, Mr John Mamman, assured the governor of the party’s unflinching support to enable him succeed in his selfless service to the people of the state.

He said that with the support of the governor, the party would continue to play a democratic role in the state and country at large.

“You will continue to enjoy our unflinching support in the implementation of your peoples oriented programmes,” he said.

Earlier, the Chairman, Membership Revalidation, Registration and Update Panel in the State, Mallam Ishaka Tanko, said the team would work according to the guidelines  to achieve the mandate given them.

Prominent among those present at the exercise were Senators representing Nasarawa Southern and Western Zones of the state, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura an Abdullahi Adamu respectively.

The Membership Revalidation, Registration and Update exercise in the state also witnessed the formal reception of new decampees from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) among other political parties to the APC.
