Electrification work on Chief Olusegun Obasanjo mango farm has been commenced by the Benue State Government.
Commissioner for Rural Development and Co-operatives, Engr Victor Ukaha, stated this while inspecting the electrification work in Gwer Local Government Area recently.
The commissioner who was represented by the Director of Rural Roads and Electricity, Engr Terkula Wuam, said it was a direct labour project that includes the installation of 500KVA transformer, distribution and network to the adjoining villages of Tse Njie, Ugee Council Ward of Gwer LGA.
In a press statement made available to The Voice and signed by the Information Officer of the ministry, Sylvester Orlaade, the commissioner assured that the project will be completed in two weeks time and commended the site engineer handing the project for the quality work done.
In his remarks, a member of the community, Donatus Iortyom, appreciated Governor Samuel Ortom for extending electricity to their community and assured of the protection of the project against vandalism.
