Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has exercised his franchise in the March 18, 2023 governorship and state assembly elections, saying that he would abide by the outcome of the elections.
Sule, who is seeking re-election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), performed his civic responsibility at 09:45 am in Motor Park 002 Polling Unit, Gudi, Akwanga Local Government Area of the state.
The governor who expressed satisfaction with the process in his polling unit, said, “The process started early enough and people are coming out to vote.
“We are satisfied with what the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are doing so far.
“We can see security officers on ground and nobody has complained, and I strongly believe that by 12: 30 pm, the people of Gudi should be able to complete the voting process.
The governor, however, expressed optimism that his party will win today’s elections even though the APC lost during the February 25 Presidential and National Assembly elections in the state.
“In Nasarawa State, it was hard to say that APC will not win in the Presidential and National Assembly elections but we did not win. We lost by about 19,000 votes but we accepted, so any result that comes out today, we will abide by it because the choice is by the people and for the people,” he concluded.
