A Benue governorship aspirant for 2023,  Dr  Iyorwuese Ligom has declared that his interest would be the liberation of the state from the shackles of underdevelopment if voted  governor in 2023.

Dr Ligom gave the assurance in a chat with newsmen in Makurdi.

The medical practitioner cum politician said the state is blessed with human resources that can add to its rapid growth and appealed to the public to support his aspiration.

He said he was going into the race not for pecuniary benefits but to offer himself as a servant desirous of making his contribution to state building.

The aspirant who said he would seek the People’s mandate on the platform of the PDP, solicited support for Governor Samuel Ortom to succeed especially on the final lap of his administration.

He condemned the recent attack on the governor and called for immediate arrest of the attackers.

Dr Ligom said, “I am blessed with wisdom to change the fortunes of the state and I am the chosen one come 2023”.

“I have a zeal for development and I am eager to contribute my part to state building, and this makes me to contest elections”, he said.
