The Head of Department, History and International Relations of Veritas University, Abuja, Dr John Adole, who was kidnapped in Otukpo has regained freedom.

Adole, was kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Otukpo, Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State last Sunday night. He rained freedom on Monday.

The spokesperson of Veritas University, Evelyn Obekpa confirmed the development to newsmen on Tuesday.

Confirming the report, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Otukpo, Peter Okechukwu, added that an employee of United Bank for Africa (UBA) abducted alongside with the professor was also released.

However, as of the time of filing this report, The Voice could not acertain whether ransom was paid to the kidnappers before their victims were let off the hook or not.
