Following persistent potable water scarcity in some parts of Hwolshe, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State; Member representing Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Musa Bagos has sunk a borehole for the community to alleviate their lack of drinking water problem.
The lawmaker said he is concerned about the suffering of his constituents, particularly in the area of good drinking water which is lacking in Hwolshe.
Bagos, who commissioned the borehole on Monday in Jos; urged beneficiaries to ensure good maintenance culture of the facility to enable it last for long time.
It on record that Hwoshle community which host Jos campus of the Plateau state polytechnic has acute water shortage during dry season due to it population.
Dedicating the borehole to God, Rev. Istifanus Williams, of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) denomination, prayed God to continue watch over the legislator to enable him execute more projects for his constituents.
The cleric charged community leaders of the area to set up a three man committee that shall ensure proper use and maintenance of the water project.
Rev. Williams appreciated Bagos for coming to the aid of the people, who are in dire need of potable drinking water.
Speaking with journalists, shortly after commissioning the borehole, the lawmaker revealed that his desire is to intervene in peculiar needs of his constituents, to ameliorate suffering of the electorate.
Some community members within the area, who spoke with The Voice were full of excitement, said the water project executed by the lawmaker was a life serving project, and it will be guided jealousy.
