Benue State government has set up a transition committee for the smooth transition of government on May 29, 2023.

Governor Samuel Ortom announced this Wednesday during the state Executive Council (EXCO) meeting held at the Benue People’s House, Makurdi.

He directed Commissioners as well as parastatals, agencies and departments under the various ministries to ensure that they make available a comprehensive handing over notes.

The transition committee which is headed by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Tony Ijohor, has all the members of the Benue State Executive Council as members while Director, EXCO, Bartholomew Geraga is to serve as Secretary.

Also speaking after the EXCO meeting, Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Michael Inalegwu emphasized that, the governor urged the committee to ensure they capture every details in the report.

Inalegwu gave assurances that they shall be a smooth handing and taking over on 29th May, 2023.
