The Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, Senator Abba Moro, has expressed his readiness to partner the James Oche-led administration in Ado Local Government Area of Benue State to rehabilitate the bridge across River Ado to link Inikiri-Ichari area of the local government.
The Senator made this known recently while inspecting the collapsed bridge which has cut off the Izzi and Ezza people from the rest of the council.
Ado Local Government Chairman, James Oche, while reacting expressed delight over the development, saying, it would be a dream come true for his administration.
He said the bridge was built during the military administration and was in the state of disrepair.
He lamented that, due to the decay, the socio-economic life of the Izzi and Ezza people has been affected negatively as they were no longer linked to the rest of local government.
The chairman maintained that the Ezza and Izzi people are now more connected to Ebonyi State where they engage in commercial and social activities to eke a living instead of Benue which is their own state.
Oche, further expressed optimism that the rehabilitation of the bridge would open up Inikiri to the local government capital and further help in integrating the Ezza and Izzi to their Idoma brothers.
The Voice gathered that Sen Abba Moro endured over ten kilometre ride on a motorcycle to pay a visit to the people of Ezza-Ezekunna, a week ago due to the collapsed bridge.
