Moro receives Igede Hall of Fame medal

The Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, Abba Moro, was on Sunday night honoured and decorated with the Igede Hall of Fame medal.

The event which was organized by Igede Hall of Fame Academy and Synergy Foundation, was held at Synergy Hotel, in Oju Local Government Area of Benue State.

The Academy stated that, Senator Moro was nominated for the decoration because of his work on youth development, entrepreneurship, hard work over the years and his continuous support for core values of Igede land.

The academy further commended the senator’s work on the development of Igede nation, and also for demonstrating his support towards community infrastructural upgrading, humanitarian gestures and other empowerment programmes for Igede people which formed part of the reasons for the recognition.

The medal was presented to the senator by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Assembly candidate for Oju 1 State Constituency, Blessed Emmanuel.

Senator Moro, who was represented by his Special Assistant on Media, Emmanuel Eche-Ofun John, appreciated the academy for the recognition and promised to continually provide the needed leadership and representation at the National Assembly, for the good people of Benue South.

He felicitated with Ol’Igede on Igede Agba festival and urged the people to use the period to build bridges, make peace with one another and pray for the progress of the land.
