The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Abdullahi has expressed shock over the demise of the former Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Hamza Elayo (Adori Hem).

In a statement issued recently by his Press Secretary, Mr Jibrin Gwamna,  described the passing of the former SSG and one-time Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism in the state as colossal and a big blow to the APC party and the state at large.

The statement appealed to the deceased’s immediate family, friends and associates to see his demise as an act of God and continue to pray for the repose of his soul. It condoled with the  government and people of the state over the great loss.

“We have lost a friend, a brother and a political associate, this is a big loss, it is a painful exit, may Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him paradise and console all of us.

“What can we say, Allah gives life and take at his own appointed time, it is the way and routes for all, may Hamza Elayo see peace in the world beyond,” the statement said.

The late Hamza Elayo while alive, served the state as SSG, Commissioner of Information, Culture and Tourism, Special Adviser and Director General, Bureau for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) under the administration of the immediate  past governor of the state, Senator Umaru  Al-Makura.
