From Esther Akaa, Lafia

The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has charged newly married couples to love and be patient with each other, in order to build a peaceful and happy home.

Balarabe-Abdullahi gave this charge on Saturday during traditional marriage of his Senior Security detail, Senior Operative (S/Opt) Mr Lyambee Akaa and his wife Josephine Maichibi held in Wasa Station, Sanga Local Government Area (LGA) of Kaduna State.

The speaker, represented by his Chief of Staff, Mr Aboky Suleiman, who congratulated the couple, said that no marriage would be successful without tolerance, patience, understanding and love among other good attributes.

“I am happy to be here as he who takes a good wife takes a good thing. The most important travel for one to do is when you travel to look for a partner, that is when you look for a husband or a wife.

“I want to advise Mr Akaa and his beautiful wife, Josephine to show understanding, tolerance, patience and love among other good attributes.

“These are the basis for any peaceful and successful married life,” he said.

Also speaking, the representative of the bride’s family, Mr Saleh Bature encouraged the two to remain true to each other and not allow third party until their marriage.

He also congratulated the couple and wished them a happy married life.

On his part, representative of the groom’s family, Mr Stephen Akaa, thanked the bride’s family for giving their daughter to his family  and promised to take care of her.

In an interview with The Voice, the groom, Mr Akaa thanked God for making the day a reality.

He appreciated the speaker, members of the House of Assembly and all those who contributed towards the success of the marriage and prayed God to grant their heart desires.
