The Nasarawa State government is to construct an ultra modern market in Toto Local Government Area of the state to boost socio-economic activities in the area.
The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Balarabe-Abdullahi, who represents Ugya/Umaisha State Constituency at the assembly disclosed this on Monday, while addressing thousands of his constituents and party supporters, who gave him a rousing welcome at his home town Umaisha in Toto LGA of the state.
According to him, plans have already been concluded by the state government to build the ultra modern market in the area, saying that soon, the contractors will be on the project site for assessment and commencement of work.
He explained that the project was part of Governor Abdullahi Sule’s commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises to the people of the area, emphasising that if completed, it will reduce poverty, create more employment and enhance economic activities in Toto LGA.
“The rehabilitation of the Toto-Umaisha road is also set to begin as contractors will soon mobilise to site for onward commencement of work.
“I, therefore, call on you to continue to champion the course of peace, pray and support the governor to succeed beyond 2023,” he said.
The speaker reassured his people of the determination of the APC led government in the state to continue to provide them with the basic needs that will improve on their general well-being.
Balarabe-Abdullahi maintained that the governor will not relent on his passion for them and for peace and speedy growth of the entire state.
He, therefore, urged the people to give Sule all the needed support to enable him succeed beyond 2023.
