Widow of the deceased former Chairman, Buruku Local Government Council, Mrs Comfort Deajir was Tuesday sworn-in as the Deputy Chairman of the local government.
Mrs Deajir, whose late husband, Daniel Deajir died on the 7 January, 2021 is to take over from the former deputy chairman, Andrew Iorver, who was immediately sworn-in as Chairman, following the demise of his predecessor.
The Voice gathered that late Daniel Deajir was sworn in on the 22 June, 2020 and died barely 6 months in office, after a brief illness.
Mrs Deajir, will add to the number of women occupying leadership positions in the state under the Governor Samuel Ortom led administration.
